Halifax received 316,869 cruise ship passengers in 2018, which is an eight per cent increase over the number of passengers that landed in Halifax during the 2017 cruise ship season.
The number of vessels calling on Halifax this year was 198, which was 14 per cent more than the number of vessels in 2017.
Prior to this year, 2017 had been the busiest year for cruise in Halifax for both passenger visits and vessel calls, according to the Halifax Port Authority.
