ATLANTIC CONTAINER LINE

-Atlantic Container Line provides liner transportation services for containers, project and oversi-ed cargo, heavy equipment, and vehicles between the North American ports of Baltimore, Norfolk, -ew Yo-k, Halifax and the European ports of Liverpool, Antwerp, Bremerhaven and Gothenburg.

Through a container slot exchange agreement, ACL provides an additional weekly Canadian service, three weekly U.S. Gulf container services, and four weekly U.S. North Atlantic container services. In total they cover 15 ports in Europe and North America. ACL is able to provide fast transit times to inland destinations in central Canada and the U.S. Mid-West. ACL calls the Port of Halifax four times per week with two vessel service strings, each with separate import and export calls.

The import vessels arrive Sunday and Wednesday and the export vessels sail for Europe each Monday and Friday. The double call provides the ACL Halifax Gateway with the first port of call into North America and the last port of call at departure. ACL has established weekly roll-on/roll-off and container service between North America and Africa as well as the Mediterranean and South America and Australia. ACL is a company of the Grimaldi Group of Naples, Italy.
