Drive For Hope Golf Tournament
The Drive For Hope Golf Tournament, hosted by the Halifax Employers Association (HEA), raises funds for Hope Cottage, a Halifax-based charity. This annual event, which has raised over $540,000, brings together community members for a day of golf and giving back.
The Hope Cottage Story
Established in 1970 and celebrating its 54th anniversary in 2024, Hope Cottage was inspired by the vision of St. Patrick’s Pastor Father Mills. Hope Cottage today is a charitable organization located on Brunswick Street in central Halifax. Prior to the onset of the pandemic, Hope Cottage was serving as many as 200 meals a day to the less fortunate men and women in our community. During the pandemic, service has evolved to ‘curb side-pick up’ for lunch and dinner.
